Black and white photo of an overcast British winter morning of a tree set against a wall in Oxford

Grey winter

The plan was to take a Friday off, travel to a remote-picturesque-photogenic location in the British Isles and take some damn decent photos that would do Sean Parry Photography [SPP] proud.

Alas, the nearest picturesque place in the British Isles is in Cornwall and the second nearest is in Devon [go figure]. So my next option was the coast, Bournemouth, Weymouth or Osmington Mills - a place with a waterfall that's right by the sea - but it was not to be. After recruiting frie... photographer Mr Phil Bray the destination of choice was changed once more to the olde city of Oxford.

This photo was taken down one of the many side lanes in Oxford and pretty much summed up that days weather, bleak and hopeless.
