Black and white photo of a church in Marlow, Berkshire, taken with a fisheye lens

Skewed Church

I order a new lens the other day, the mightly wide Canon 15mm F2.8 Fisheye. It's one of those lens you just want to try on anything and everything, take photos of the room, the box it came in, your desk, your fingers and oddly your chin. It just provides you with such a unique vision of the world that you just want to take a photo to see what happens. In it's simplest terms, it's fun.

This shot was taken in Marlow, Berkshire with my friend Phil Bray. We decided to go out and try and get some star shots and quite frankly, I instantly found the lens weakness. Still we ventured on further and we stopped by a grave yard and I snapped this one up. The photo itself isn't great, but it does highlight the extreme curve of the Fisheye - something I wish to put to good use in the near future.

I've added this one to VFXY Weekly Themes with a play on words titled 'the longest shadows'.
